Job summary

Marotta Controls, Inc. in Montville, NJ is seeking a Technician/Mechanic II to independently set up and operate pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies for Space, Navy, and Aircraft applications.

The role involves assembling and testing production hardware, verifying specifications, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining tools while following mil-specs and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years in manufacturing/testing environment.
• Mechanical or electro-mechanical aptitude and ability to function test products.
• Knowledgeable with electronic test equipment and measuring devices.
• Familiarity with Lean concepts, ESD, FOD and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret procedures, schematics and drawings to assemble and test hardware.
• Set up and operate testing equipment and measuring instruments.
• Perform end-of-line functional testing and document results.
• Identify test failures, perform rework and suggest corrective actions.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean, safe condition.
