Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an early-career Aerospace Systems Engineer to join either Direct Hire or the New Graduate Rotation Program. You’ll work with cross-functional teams across New Glenn, Blue Engines, Lunar Permanence, and other units to design, implement, and integrate systems.

Expect hands-on, mentored growth in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You’ll contribute to system definition, verification planning, and gated reviews, while developing technical leadership and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field.
• Graduated within the last year and able to start by Fall 2027.
• Experience in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering on complex systems.
• Internship/co-op and/or hands-on experience showing technical skills and leadership.
• Ability to earn trust and contribute to an inclusive culture.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
• Flexible and adaptable mindset.
• Self-driven with initiative to gather requirements with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements, conduct system testing, and perform integration across disciplines.
• Decompose customer requirements into test system specifications with traceability.
• Develop interfaces through ICDs and drawings.
• Lead and present at gated reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) on overall technical readiness and deliverables.
• Own verification and validation planning and Test Readiness Reviews.
