Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead supplier relationships and contracts within Spirit Defense in Kansas. You will manage post-award activities, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and optimize inventory and planning through data analysis.

The role requires 3+ years in a aerospace/manufacturing supply chain, knowledge of SAP, and strong communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business/Supply Chain or related field is preferred;

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supply chain role, aerospace/manufacturing preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
• Proficient with SAP/ERP systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Security clearance preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
• Research, evaluate, and set expectations for prospective suppliers for new business.
• Build and maintain good relations with suppliers.
• Handle and manage negotiating contracts with suppliers.
• Develop RFQs and proposals, evaluate responses, negotiate, and manage post-award activities.
• Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Manage post-award supplier activities including updating supplier profiles and required documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels, forecasting data, and supplier performance.
• Optimize total supply chain planning by aligning customer and supplier inputs.
• Communicate program changes flowing down from Prime/Company.
• Provide IPT representation and support; change management; affordability/trade studies.
