Job summary

Ascent Aerospace is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 2 to monitor, review, and improve the performance of existing vendors and qualify new ones, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and preventing quality issues. The role supports external provider and customer interfaces, driving quality inputs across the supply base and coordinating with engineering and sourcing to meet program goals.

Candidates should have a minimum of five years in supplier quality, strong proficiency in GD&T

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of related experience required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience advocating as the 'voice of the customer'.
• Proven use of problem solving tools.
• QMS auditing experience.
• Ability to present and interpret performance data.
• Export Control Compliance knowledge required (US Person).

Responsibilities

• Launch and lead Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations
• Review customer requirements and verify inspect-ability of product
• Monitor non-conformance processes and manage quality records
• Interface with outsource/customer quality and present product for buyoff
• Facilitate customer audits and drive corrective actions
• Lead external provider audits and cross-functional reviews
• Support first article activities and assessment of packs
• Review and enforce quality agreements
• Support engineering activities and supplier meetings
• Ensure health, safety and housekeeping practices
• Additional duties as assigned by management
