Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Specialist - Quality II on the Space Coast to drive quality throughout manufacturing and assembly. You will work with product design, management, and production to prevent defects, audit processes, and approve documentation.

The role requires problem-solving, ownership, and willingness to adapt to a variety of spaceflight projects. Ideal candidates bring an associate degree (or equivalent experience) and hands-on measurement tool experience, with AS9100/ISO9000

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering/technical field or 3+ years of directly relevant quality experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Experience with nonconformance documentation and corrective action processes.
• Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, height gages, and bore gages.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and related quality programs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail; self-starter.
• Willingness to support overtime and integration schedules as needed.
• U.S. citizen or eligible for U.S. employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections, tests, and evaluations on materials and products.
• Author, review, and disposition nonconformance records; support MRB activities.
• Lead or support root cause investigations using 5-Why, fishbone, 8D methods.
• Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102.
• Document quality results and maintain records in quality systems.
• Assist with internal audits and preparation for external audits.
• Monitor quality metrics and report KPIs.
• Collaborate with production to address and resolve quality issues.
