Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a seasoned Subcontract Administrator to develop contract specifications, evaluate bids, and manage supplier performance across the subcontract lifecycle. This role requires DoD contracting familiarity and the ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and leadership.

Candidates should have a strong background in aerospace/defense procurement, experience with SAP, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with strong subcontracting experience.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS regulations and DoD contracting is essential.
• Experience preparing subcontractor RFP packages and supporting government acquisitions.
• Ability to present briefings to leadership and manage forecasts.
• Proven leadership in high-tempo aerospace/defense environments.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
• Prepare bid packages and conduct bidders conferences.
• Analyze and evaluate proposals; negotiate subcontract provisions.
• Select or recommend subcontractors and write awards; administer subcontracts.
• Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
• Support the strategic procurement process and develop subcontract policies.
