Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego seeks a Manager Subcontracts 2 to lead a small team and manage major subcontract activities within the Global Supply Chain. This on-site role requires coordinating with contracts, engineering, and program offices to ensure cost, schedule, and performance success.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Subcontracts, SAP experience, and a TS clearance; strong leadership and executive presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/Equivalency with 9 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have experience with SAP or related purchasing software.
• Must have experience in Subcontract Management responsibility.
• Must have experience conducting oral presentations to executive leadership.
• Must have 2 years of experience leading a team, process, and/or projects.
• Must have a current active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance.
• Must have the ability to obtain/maintain Program Special Access.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Subcontracts Team of approximately five to seven Subcontract Specialists, directing cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
• Act as main focal point to the Program for all Major Subcontract related activities.
• Brief internal executive management and the Customer on status/issues affecting performance or cost.
• Conduct program reviews with the Subcontractor and Program Office.
• Ensure all portfolio Subcontracts meet Customer, Program, and Company needs.
• Coach, grow, and enrich team members’ careers as they manage subcontracts.
