Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Warner Robins, GA seeks a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to develop subcontract specifications, negotiate terms, and administer subcontracts for defense programs.

You will coordinate with contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations and end-users to ensure delivery and compliance. This role offers exposure to cost reduction strategies and regulatory controls while leveraging SAP and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of related experience, or 2+ years with a bachelor's, or 1+ year with a Master's.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop subcontract specs and terms for services, materials and equipment.
• Prepare bid packages, conduct bidder conferences, evaluate proposals and write awards.
• Ensure documentation supports proper receipt and subcontract changes.
• Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
• Coordinate subcontract funding, invoice processing and program reviews with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations and end-users.
• Evaluate supplier quality and reliability to meet delivery schedules.
• Identify strategies to reduce cost and improve efficiency via negotiations.
• Manage subcontracts and ensure compliance with laws and company policies including import/export.
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality and continuous improvement.
• Manage and develop strategic suppliers; review and approve supplier payments.
