Job summary

Ilocatum, a private equity backed aerospace component manufacturer, is seeking a Subcontract Manager to own the full subcontract lifecycle for defense programs in Winston-Salem, NC. The role requires 6–8 years in DoD/aerospace contexts and strong negotiation skills under FAR/DFARS/ITAR/EAR.

You will collaborate across engineering, finance, and program management to ensure compliant, on-time award and closeout.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years DoD/aerospace/government program exp.
• Interpret and negotiate subcontract terms under FAR/DFARS/ITAR/EAR
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Manage multiple subcontracts and meet deadlines in a fast-paced env
• Advanced problem-solving and judgment in high-risk contracts
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, finance, and program management
• U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of subcontract administration from quoting to closeout
• Analyze SOWs, solicitations, terms, and flow downs for risks
• Provide subcontract risk assessments to senior leadership
• Prepare and review basis of estimates, pricing, schedules, contracts, and NDAs
• Lead supplier negotiations on terms, scope, funding, and delivery
• Develop supplier evaluation criteria and bid packages
• Negotiate subcontract modifications, additions, deletions
• Maintain audit-ready files aligned with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR
• Partner with Program Managers to ensure obligations and flow downs are met
