Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Subcontracts Management to provide functional leadership and oversight of the Subcontract Management organization, driving performance of suppliers to meet program cost, schedule, and technical goals.

This role collaborates with Supply Chain Management to develop policies, procedures, and best practices. Key duties include leading subcontract negotiations, ensuring FAR/ITAR compliance, and coordinating with Finance, Legal, and Contracts to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline required or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10+ years of directly related DoD and Commercial subcontracts experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a team leadership role.
• Proven working knowledge of diverse contract types and subcontracts.
• Experience with ITAR, DFARS and FAR regulations.
• Active or ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain subcontract specifications, statements of work, and terms for procurement of materials, equipment, and services with key subcontractors.
• Support bidder's conferences, analyses and evaluations, and negotiate subcontract provisions including price and terms.
• Monitor subcontract performance to meet cost, technical, quality and contractual objectives.
• Coordinate with Finance, Contracts, Legal Affairs, and other AV departments for dispute resolution.
• Lead the program team and develop solutions to complex problems with ingenuity.
• Manage contract change processes and coordinate with Quality to ensure compliance with requirements.
