Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in the United States (Middletown, CT) is seeking a talented engineer to perform structural analysis of fan and LPC components. The role emphasizes hand calculations and finite element methods, delivering recommendations to the IP team and working with diverse engineering disciplines to achieve balanced, safe, and efficient designs.

The incumbent will use the latest PW practices and tools, prepare formal reports and presentations, and identify risks to ensure timely project

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in structural analysis of fan/LPC components.
Strong knowledge of finite element methods.
Demonstrated ability to communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis of Fan, LPC components via hand calculations and FEM.
Use analysis results to support IPT in proposals.
Collaborate with engineering disciplines to balance solutions.
Apply PW structural best practices and analytical tools.
Document analyses in formal reports and presentations for management and customers.
Identify structural risks within work of moderate scope to ensure project completion.
Travel up to 10%.
