Job summary

RTX's Advanced Structures team seeks a design engineer to perform metal and composite analyses, develop drawings, and support proposals from concept to detail designs. You will use ANSYS and related tools, contribute to testing, and ensure compliance with internal standards.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience with structural and thermal analyses is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, research, analysis, engineering documentation and process improvement for proposals and new product development.
• Perform thermal and structural analyses of metallic or composite designs using ANSYS or similar tools.
• Create basic drawings, oversee testing and contribute to concept-to-detail development.
