Saab seeks 3rd shift Structural Assemblers in West Lafayette, IN to build aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk. Training academy provided; start early December 2026. Includes shift premium and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include assembling systems, following procedures, and training new teammates while ensuring quality and safety. Requires reading drawings, using hand tools, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Competenze

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, stooping, twisting, knee ling, reaching, and gripping.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

• Assemble aircraft fuselage to required specifications and install systems.
• Follow quality requirements and work instructions in a team setting.
• Support continuous improvement targeting safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Handle Class A surfaces and perform touch-up painting.
• Sign off on completed work per specification.
• Assist in training and knowledge transfer to new employees.
• Contribute to a positive, productive work environment aligned with company values.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
