RTX is seeking candidates for an onsite software engineering role within the Test Solutions Engineering team of the Hardware Discipline Center. You will design, code, and integrate software for mission‑critical defense systems, interfacing with state‑of‑the‑art hardware across the lifecycle from lab demos to production testing.

The role requires a STEM degree and experience in C, C++, C#, Python, or VB/.NET, plus proficiency with Visual Studio on Windows.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline. Degree must be obtained by start date.
Experience developing, testing, or integrating software applications using one or more programming languages.

Responsibilities

Design, code, and integrate object‑oriented software applications and test software targeting Windows operating platforms.
Develop and derive system‑level software requirements, operational specifications, and architectural designs.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software applications for test accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate software test tools with hardware instrumentation.
Participate in formal design reviews, code reviews, and defect resolution.
Work within Agile and Waterfall development lifecycles.
