Jobtailor is seeking a senior software lead to direct a software integration and test team within the aerospace sector. The role focuses on building robust CI/CD pipelines, coordinating with HITL and systems engineering teams, and delivering validated software-in-the-loop capabilities.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in aerospace software, strong C/C++ and Python skills, and proven people-management experience, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development, integration, or testing in aerospace.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ development.
• Python or scripting language experience.
• RTOS/embedded control systems knowledge with APIs and drivers.
• Familiarity with UDP/TCP, I2C, UART.
• Strong SDLC and testing methodology understanding.
• Git or similar version control experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a software integration and test team.
• Oversee hiring, performance reviews, and career development.
• Develop and execute SIL test plans and validation for test beds.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Collaborate with HITL, vehicle/test, flight software, and systems teams.
• Define and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Report test progress and risks to program leadership.
• Support SIL, modeling/simulation, and SIL infrastructure.
