Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software developer to build aerospace-grade software and AI automation tools. You will translate business requirements into prototypes, collaborate with business stakeholders, and contribute to code quality and documentation.

Required a CS/Software Eng degree, 0-2+ years, proficient in Python and either C++, Java, or Python, and able to work with multi-disciplinary teams in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Eng required.
• 0-2+ years software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, or Python.
• Python or similar scripting language for AI/automation.
• Able to work with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Understand engineering principles and practices.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software systems for aerospace applications.
• Design, develop, and test AI tools and automations that solve business problems.
• Understand business-user workflows and pain points.
• Translate business requirements into working prototypes and iterate based on user feedback.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
• Write and maintain code documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure code quality, usability, and adoption.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support integration of AI tools with existing business systems and workflows.
