Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior Staff System Architect to design and lead aerospace electronics architectures, ensuring scalable, reliable systems across platforms. You will steer cross-functional teams through complex programs, translate high-level requirements to controller-level specs, and align with budgets and timelines.

You will advise leadership on emerging tech, perform SHA/FMEA/FTA contributions, and guide selection of tools and methodologies while mentoring engineers and promoting

Qualifications

• Staff: BS in sciences (BS) in relevant field and 10+ years’ experience
• Senior Staff: BS in sciences (BS) in relevant field and 12+ years’ experience
• Working knowledge of Aviation Development guidelines, including ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-178, DO-254, etc.
• Experience using formal Requirements Management Tools (IBM DOORS, PTC Codebeamer, etc.)
• Experience supporting the creation of Safety Hazard Assessment (SHA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing complex system architectures across various platforms
• Familiarity with development, validation, cascade, and verification of requirements from application level to firmware, software, and electronic hardware
• Ability to guide and manage cross-functional teams
• Experience providing expert consultancy to management and leadership on technical projects and strategies
• U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR, or eligible to obtain required authorizations

• Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and methodologies
• Mentor junior engineers and promote collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing
