Job summary

Blue Origin’s Space Coast facility seeks a dynamic Shift Leader for Manufacturing Ops & Assembly to oversee aerospace component production, lead teams, and optimize processes in a fast-paced environment. You will drive production planning, mentor staff, collaborate with engineering and quality teams, and implement lean practices while ensuring safety and high-quality standards.

This role requires strong data analysis, budget management, and willingness to work across shifts A‑D.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing a team within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery schedules.
• Mentor manufacturing teams, providing guidance and fostering a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to address manufacturing challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor production performance and report to senior management with data-driven insights.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards; manage budgets and resources.
• Support new product introductions and scale up production capabilities.
• Evaluate inputs to make informed decisions with focus on decision quality.
