Job summary

Nidec Aerospace seeks a Safety Engineer to support safety programs across engineering, manufacturing and testing in a hybrid Atlanta-based role. You will conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident analyses to drive corrective actions and continuous safety improvement.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop procedures, ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA/ISO/FAA/EASA), and promote a proactive safety culture through clear documentation and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Safety engineering expertise including hazard analysis and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ISO and FAA/EASA guidance.
• Experience designing safety training and conveying safety requirements to technical teams.
• Familiarity with construction safety, facilities, labs and test environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across engineering, manufacturing and testing activities.
• Perform inspections and analyze incident data to identify trends and corrective actions.
• Develop safety procedures and support regulatory compliance and safety certifications.
• Prepare safety documentation and promote a strong safety culture through engagement.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and leadership to integrate safety into designs and test plans.
