Job summary

ManpowerGroup's client in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead rotor dynamics and mechanical design for aerospace rotating systems, including fans, compressors, and turbines.

You will perform critical speed analysis, use ANSYS tools, and mentor engineering teams through the product lifecycle. This temporary assignment requires a strong track record in aerospace design and leadership.

Qualifications

• Needs rotor dynamics and mechanical design experience in aerospace or similar industries.
• At least 10 years conducting rotor dynamics analyses.
• Experience leading design reviews and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with PLM tools and aerospace standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and rotor dynamics analysis for aerospace rotating systems.
• Perform critical speed analysis, Campbell diagrams, and imbalance predictions.
• Utilize ANSYS APDL, ANSYS Workbench, and 1D Beam-based FEA for design support.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and mentorship across teams.
• Manage complex projects and collaborate across the product lifecycle.
