Job summary

CesiumAstro in Austin, TX is seeking a Test Technician II to work with engineers on module and payload test setups, execute test plans, and generate reliable results using state-of-the-art lab instrumentation.

You will align with engineers to test RF circuitry from component to system level, reading schematics and assembly docs, while contributing to production test stations and documentation.]

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AS degree in Electronics or related preferred.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience working with active electronics.
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical docs.
• Ability to solder, build and rework PCBs and cabling.
• Hands-on with lab instruments like spectrum analyzers, RF generators, vector analyzers, DMMs, oscilloscopes.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to create test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and provide concise reporting of findings.
• Organize and maintain antenna testing facilities and resources.
• Create clean, intricate test setups with instrumentation and devices under test.
• Document with attention to detail and high-quality standards.
• Assemble and validate custom test fixtures for production and validation.
• Validate measurements to confirm instrument and cabling performance.
