Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Electronics Test Technician II for 2nd shift to join our space-grade electronics lab in Austin, TX. You will collaborate with engineers to design and execute test setups for module and payload electronics, using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, power supplies and more.

You will document results, build custom fixtures, troubleshoot RF circuits, and ensure quality from component to system level, while wearing many hats in a startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AS degree preferred.
• 3+ years with AS or 4+ years with HS in electronics.
• Experience with active electronics.
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical docs.
• Ability to document build and release of test solutions.
• Soldering, PCB work, cabling, and AT systems familiarity.
• Hands-on with lab instruments: spectrum analyzers, RF generators, VSA, DMMs, oscilloscopes.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and provide concise reporting of findings.
• Organize and maintain antenna testing facilities and resources.
• Create clean, intricate/test setups with instrumentation and DUTs.
• Create thorough documentation with attention to detail.
• Assemble and validate custom fixtures for test station development.
• Perform measurement validation on test solutions.
