Job summary

SJ Mobilita is seeking an experienced Repair Engineer to support aerospace aftermarket operations in Chula Vista, CA. The role focuses on developing repairs for metallic and composite aircraft structures, including nacelle and exhaust components, with emphasis on SRM, ASR, CMM, and AMM documentation.

The ideal candidate has about 5 years of aerospace engineering experience, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple repair assignments while serving as a technical liaison

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Approximately 5 years of aerospace engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering repair instructions for aerospace nacelle components.
• Design and support repairs for metallic and composite aircraft structures.
• Develop and approve repair concepts and allowable damage limits for SRM applications.
• Support SRM, CMM, and AMM repair documentation and development.
• Prepare engineering repair packages for submission to the Type Certificate Holder.
• Collaborate with engine manufacturers, airframers, customers, and production engineering teams.
• Resolve complex technical issues and provide engineering recommendations.
• Act as a technical point of contact for internal and external customers.
• Manage multiple repair assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Support engineering standardization and process improvement initiatives.
