Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage One-Offs AMTS Advanced Aerostructures Engineering in Chula Vista, onsite. You will oversee design, development, and delivery of engineered solutions for airline customers while ensuring schedules and quality standards are met.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, strong repair methods knowledge, and effective communication across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Firm working knowledge of Repairs methods.
• Experience in Repair Design techniques.
• Experience in customer interactions / customer service, ability to manage critical customer situations and calls.
• Experience managing projects.
• Experience in Continuous Improvement techniques.
• Familiar with Nacelle Structures; knowledge in Fibersim/CATIA/ENOVIA/Visio/Team Center is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineering professionals in One-Offs AMTS Advanced Aerostructures Engineering.
• Oversees design, development, and delivery of engineered solutions for Airline customers to ensure conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards.
• Ensures that work assigned and completed meets established engineering schedules and business objectives while satisfying customer requirements.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external customers and manage high-pressure situations with composure.
• Coordinate with global teams to resolve customer issues.
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to staff on systems, standards and processes.
