Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX business unit, is seeking a Repair Design Engineer to drive repair concepts for commercial engine parts within the Cases & Composites Group of the GSE Commercial Repair Team. You will develop concepts, write repairs, secure approvals, and coordinate with end users to ensure safe, durable components ready for service.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical design or manufacturing engineering and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math and 5+ years of mechanical design, manufacturing engineering or prior relevant experience.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop repairs for commercial gas turbine engine parts, including concept development, repair writing, and FAA regulatory coordination.
• Create technical documents with engineering requirements for repairs.
• Interface with Product Line Management to secure priorities and understand programmatic issues.
• Support customers in resolving field issues and ensure tasks meet schedule and budget.
