Job summary

Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick Engineering Center is seeking a Mechanical Repair Design Engineer to develop repair solutions for compressor and turbine components within the aftermarket lifecycle. You will work across product lines to turn engineering concepts into practical, cost‑effective repairs and contribute to product support and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace, with 2 years of relevant experience; or advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Experience applying engineering principles to mechanical or aerospace issues.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate hardware and repair options by performing engineering calculations and assessments to determine part acceptability and develop repair solutions.
• Develop production‑ready repair documentation and procedures for manufacturing and maintenance execution.
• Deliver cost‑effective repair solutions by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support new product development and lifecycle considerations by participating in design reviews as aftermarket representative.
• Investigate field issues and provide timely recommendations to internal teams and customers.
