Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Inspector for Severn, Maryland (21144) to support aerospace projects, verify purchased parts, materials, and received items against drawings and specifications.

The role collaborates with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure quality at intake. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in receiving QA, reads engineering drawings and blueprints, and is familiar with AS9100 and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of recent quality assurance work experience in a receiving inspection environment.
• Must have a Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one; US citizen.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and ability to document results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications.
• Examines electronic components and inhouse-fabricated items for defects, measuring dimensional accuracy.
• Reviews supplier certifications and test reports for compliance with flow-down requirements.
• Identify, label, and document defective, damaged, or non-conforming materials.
• Provide direct QA ownership and oversight of Receiving Inspection labs.
• Participate in MRBs to ensure nonconforming material/process handling.
