Job summary

Bastion is seeking a Receiving Inspector to support multiple projects in Severn, Maryland, focusing on aerospace RF systems. You will collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to inspect parts, materials, and assemblies, ensuring conformance to drawings and specifications.

The role requires 5+ years in receiving QA, the ability to read engineering drawings, and familiarity with AS9100; travel and background checks may apply. Onsite role with a 9/80 schedule and potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of recent quality assurance work experience in a receiving inspection environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 standards and internal/external audits as required.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• High level of accuracy in identifying defects and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Inspect purchased parts and materials for conformance to specifications.
• Examine electronic components and items fabricated to in-house drawings for defects and dimensional accuracy.
• Review supplier certifications and packing slips to ensure compliance with flow-down requirements.
• Identify, label, and document defective or non-conforming materials.
• Provide QA ownership and oversight of receiving inspection labs.
