Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking an QA In-Process Inspector for Severn, MD to support prototypes and NPI. You will inspect visually and with measuring devices, using blueprints and customer specs, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on quality improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace or electro-mechanical QA, IPC/space standards certification, and the ability to obtain/hold a Secret Clearance. Onsite work with 9/80 schedule and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance or ability to obtain; US citizen
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing QA Engineering or Aerospace/NASA quality inspection
• Certification in IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 w/space addendum, J-STD-001 w/space addendum, NASA-STD-8739.1
• Experience inspecting electronic components, PCBs, mechanical parts, and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Experience using hand-held inspection equipment, microscopes, magnifiers

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow engineering/quality docs, drawings, process flow, travelers and work instructions
• Contribute to performance metric reporting
• Assist in Root Cause and Corrective Action activities
• Hands-on prototype and new product/process introduction builds
• Perform detailed in-process and final inspections
• Other duties as assigned
