Job summary

Bastion Technologies is seeking a QA In-Process Inspector to support projects in Severn, Maryland. On-site role with a 9/80 schedule; some travel may be required. Requires U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).Experience in Electro-Mechanical QA for aerospace components is expected.

You will read drawings, inspect PCBs and mechanical parts, use hand tools and measurement devices, and assist root cause analysis with the engineering team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5+ years Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineering experience or Aerospace/NASA Industry Quality inspection experience.
• Secret Clearance or ability to obtain; US citizenship required.
• Experience with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 w/space addendum, J-STD-001 w/space addendum, NASA-STD-8739.1.
• Experience inspecting electronic components, PCBs, mechanical parts, and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow engineering and quality documentation, drawings/blueprints, process flow charts, manufacturing travelers, and work instructions.
• Understand and contribute to performance metric reporting.
• Assist in determining Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.
• Hands-on prototype and new product/process introduction builds.
• Perform detailed in-process and final inspection activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
