Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. in Severn, Maryland is seeking a Receiving Inspector to support projects in Severn, MD, part of the LM MSP - Maryland team.

You will inspect purchased parts and components, read engineering drawings, and verify conformance to specifications while supporting NPI and production builds for air and space RF systems in Severn operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one; US citizenship required.
• Must have a High School or equivalent.
• Must have 5+ years of recent quality assurance work experience in a receiving inspection environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints.
• Good understanding of AS9100 standard and support with internal & external audits as required.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• High level of accuracy in identifying defects and maintaining records.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.

The Receiving Inspector will support the various projects located in Severn, Maryland (21144).

This is a challenging and rewarding position with a mission to support the manufacturing of air and space-based RF systems in our Severn Operations of Lockheed Martin. This opportunity involves working closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing team to build prototypes, support New Product Integration (NPI) and productions builds.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications.
• Examines electronic components like bare boards, COTS items and items fabricated to inhouse drawings for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit, inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications.
• Reviews supplier certifications, packing slips test reports to ensure compliance with Lockheed Martin flow down requirements.
• Identify, label, and document defective, damaged, or non-conforming materials.
• Provide direct Quality Assurance ownership and oversite of Receiving Inspection labs.
• Participate in regular MRBs (material review board) to ensure nonconforming material/process is appropriately handled.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORK LOCATION

• This position is located onsite and offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off; some travel may be required.
• Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED

DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED

SALARY RANGE

$22.00/hour to $36.88/hour, hourly rate will depend on education and experience.
