Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS seeks an experienced R&D Engineer to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative aerospace products and technologies. You will lead from ideation through prototype design, verification, and product launch, collaborating with product management, manufacturing, testing, quality, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 3+ years in aerospace mechanical/structural design.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with mechanical testing and instrumentation.
• Familiarization with composite part design.
• Proven ownership and ability to follow through.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development from concept to commercialization.
• Conduct research on technical solutions and opportunities for innovation.
• Create prototypes, run experiments, and perform testing to validate designs.
• Develop detailed engineering documentation (specs, CAD models, drawings, test plans).
• Analyze data and iterate designs using engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for manufacturability and compliance.
• Support technology roadmaps and long-term R&D initiatives.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and manufacturing processes for new designs.
• Communicate project status, risks, and insights to stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings and technical reviews.
• Stay aware of industry trends and advancements.
