Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Technology team, focusing on prototype development and production of aerospace components. You will own and operate industrial additive manufacturing systems and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and research teams to accelerate product development.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering, 2+ years of experience, and CAD proficiency (NX/CATIA/SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in engineering role.
• Experience managing additive manufacturing materials, print prep, machine operation, and post-processing.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Strong organizational and multi-project coordination skills.
• Effective communicator across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
• Self-motivated to learn and implement new manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and support industrial additive manufacturing systems (FDM, SLA, SLS).
• Produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
• Manage additive workflows: job prep, scheduling, post-processing, quality verification.
• Maintain AM materials inventory and process documentation.
• Support evaluation and implementation of new AM technologies and materials.
• Develop best practices and standardized AM procedures.
• Collaborate on AM solutions for prototypes, tooling, and production demos.
• Support composite tooling development, prototype fabrication, and process improvements.
• Design, assemble, evaluate prototype hardware and manufacturing aids.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrate design-for-manufacturing and production-readiness principles.
