ST Engineering MRAS seeks a proactive R&D Engineer to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative aerospace products and systems from idea to prototype and into production. You will collaborate with product management, manufacturing, testing, quality, and external partners.

The role requires hands-on prototyping, testing, documentation, and data analysis with focus on manufacturability and regulatory requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, or another related field.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace mechanical and structural design.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous activities, priorities, and workstreams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with mechanical testing and instrumentation.
• Familiarization with composite part design.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of actions and follow through to completion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard engineering/project-management tools.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to the design and development of new products, components, and technologies from concept to commercialization.
• Conduct research to identify technical solutions, emerging technologies, and opportunities for innovation.
• Create prototypes, run experiments, and perform testing to validate design assumptions and meet performance requirements.
• Develop detailed engineering documentation, including specifications, CAD models, drawings, test plans, and reports.
• Analyze data, interpret test results, and iterate designs using engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, regulatory compliance, and cost effectiveness.
• Support technology roadmaps, product development strategies, and long-term R&D initiatives.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, materials, and manufacturing processes for new designs.
• Communicate project status, risks, and technical insights to stakeholders at all levels.
• Coordinate project meetings, planning sessions, and technical reviews.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive technologies, and engineering advancements.
