Job summary

AeroVironment is hiring a Quality Engineer II to own product and service quality, lead corrective actions, and implement CAPA systems. The role includes coordinating audits, supporting CI initiatives, and ensuring readiness reviews are completed on time.

The position requires several years of quality engineering experience, familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100, and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Travel is involved during the initial training period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with relevant experience in quality engineering.
• 2–5 years of related experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
• Knowledge of DMAIC, FMEA, PPAP, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gage R&R, and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with Quality Technicians and inspectors.
• Provide internal auditing support and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in Product Readiness Reviews and coordinate Final Inspection activities.
• Support CAD/engineering with quality requirements and inspection plans.
• Perform data analysis to reduce defects and improve process capability.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure requirements are met.
