Job summary

RTCA is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspections on materials, components, and finished parts to ensure compliance with drawings and customer specifications in a precision manufacturing setting. The role supports production and quality objectives, with opportunities to lead advanced inspection activities based on experience.

Responsibilities include applying AS9100/ISO standards, maintaining records, mentoring junior inspectors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Proficiency with standard inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on raw materials, in-process parts, assemblies, and finished components.
• Interpret drawings and specifications per AS9100/ISO standards.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation (FAIRs, traceability).
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation when required.
• Identify nonconforming conditions and participate in containment/resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
