Job summary

Saab West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Technical Writer to join a team that supports the rear section of the T-7A Redhawk program. The role requires generating NCRs, inspection plans, FAIs, and MRB dispositions while maintaining best practices for technical writing across shifts.

You will work with ISO/AS9100 quality requirements, GD&T, and crossfunctional teams to deliver high-quality documentation on schedule. US citizenship and a pre-employment drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• AS Degree in Quality, Technical Writing, or related STEM discipline required.
• 3 years’ related experience in a manufacturing quality role is required.
• Experience communicating technical requirements for electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to interpret and revise documentation for consistency and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as local SME for technical writing and provide guidance for inspectors.
• Report writing performance and turnaround time to leadership.
• Develop best practices for technical writing across the organization.
• Generate NCRs, Inspection Plans/Control Plans, FAIs, and MRB dispositions.
• Ensure compliance with customer/industry quality standards and schedules.
