Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Head of Quality to lead the Quality function in an aerospace engineering and manufacturing environment. The role directs the QMS, ensures ISO 9001 compliance, and aligns quality strategies with operational performance.

The successful candidate will drive audits, CAPA and supplier/customer quality activities, promote a culture of right-first-time delivery, and mentor the Quality team to achieve strategic quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in aerospace/regulated manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS improvement.
• Experience with aerospace quality standards (AS9100 advantageous).
• Auditing, non-conformance, root-cause analysis and CAPA expertise.
• Proven track record in leading audits and meeting customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continually improve the Quality Management System per ISO 9001.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, customer specs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement quality strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage audits (internal, supplier, customer, certification bodies) and CAPA.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and enhance product quality.
• Lead customer and supplier quality activities and performance management.
• Establish KPIs and report trends/risks to senior management.
• Promote a culture of quality ownership across functions.
• Lead, develop and mentor the Quality team.
• Support risk management, change control and process validation.
• Act as primary contact for quality matters with customers, suppliers, and regulators.
