Odyssey Information Services, Inc. seeks a Quality Engineering Manager for a premier aerospace manufacturing client. The role oversees finished product quality, guides a nine‑person quality engineering team, and drives continuous improvement across QMS and QC processes.

The ideal leader communicates directly, mentors engineers, and resolves complex customer quality challenges while aligning supplier quality. Expect 25%–40% travel to customer sites and regional facilities.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 7–10 years in quality engineering within aerospace manufacturing.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience.
• Deep familiarity with aerospace compliance and QMS (AS9100, ISO 9001).
• Experience with root-cause methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, CAPA).
• Clear, direct communicator who drives accountability.

Mansioni

• Directly manage and grow a team of 9 Quality Engineers.
• Serve as primary quality escalation point for customers; lead root-cause analysis (8D/CAPA).
• Oversee finished product quality and QA protocols before delivery.
• Design and refine Quality Management Systems and QC processes for aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with site quality managers to align plant controls with finished product standards.
• Oversee supplier quality performance and incoming material reliability.
• Travel 25%–40% to customer sites and regional facilities for audits and reviews.
