Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks a Quality Manager to own and advance the quality program in a defense/aerospace manufacturing environment. You will steward AS9100 and ISO 9001 registrations and collaborate with engineering, production, and customers to ensure products meet specifications.

You will lead root-cause analysis, drive CAPA, and build a quality roadmap aligned with growth, while mentoring a high-performing team and reporting progress to executives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality management within manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Hands-on experience managing a certified quality system (AS9100/ISO 9001).
• AS9100 or ISO internal auditor credentials are a plus.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the top quality authority and lead the quality system.
• Plan and manage registrar activities plus internal audits.
• Keep procedures and records current and effective.
• Ensure operations meet AS9100/ISO 9001 and contract terms.
• Lead management reviews and track corrective actions.
• Drive root cause analysis and CAPA for issues.
• Track quality data, spot trends, and act.
• Build a roadmap aligning quality with growth.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, product, and customer experience.
• Help reduce risk across products and processes.
• Verify conformance to standards.
• Participate in design reviews, validation, and qualification.
• Evaluate methods for effectiveness and compliance.
• Manage nonconforming products and customer issues.
• Partner with engineering and operations to fix problems.
• Supervise and mentor the quality team.
• Set objectives and ensure performance standards.
• Handle hiring, training, performance reviews.
• Promote a quality-first, customer-focused mindset.
• Report quality results and progress to leadership.
• Serve as main contact for registrars, customers, suppliers, and regulators.
