Job summary

Confidential Employer leads a precision manufacturing operation serving aerospace and defense customers. The role directs the Quality function, drives ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance, and partners with Engineering and Operations to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

You will supervise a quality team in a hands-on, on-site setting, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and rejects while ensuring robust documentation and audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Hands-on FAI and SCAR documentation within ISO 9001/AS9100 environments.
• Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing is required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Quality Assurance and Quality Control across manufacturing operations.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per ISO 9001/AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Manage FAI/SCAR, corrective and preventive actions, and nonconforming material.
• Supervise and develop Quality Department personnel.
• Oversee receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections.
• Lead root-cause investigations using 5-Why or similar methods.
• Develop internal audit schedules and support audits by customers and registrars.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations to implement corrective actions.
• Analyze quality metrics to reduce defects, scrap, and customer complaints.
