Job summary

RTX is seeking a quality inspector to join the Repair Operations division on the weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 5:00am–5:30pm) at Wells, ME. You will inspect parts, tools and gauges using written procedures and data to determine conformance.

Responsibilities include dimensional checks, documenting results, and identifying nonconformances for rework. The role supports continuous improvement and may require overtime. High school diploma and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Inspection experience (non-aerospace acceptable).
• Familiar with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with computers.
• Basic shop math skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools and gauges using written procedures and data.
• Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
• Determine extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork for rework or quality review.
• Maintain inspection stamp and support continuous improvement efforts.
