Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Quality Inspector (Supply Chain) to perform a wide range of inspections, document nonconformances, and resolve issues on Starship products.

Responsibilities include using micrometers, calipers, and profilometer; reviewing certifications; communicating with internal customers and suppliers; and supporting our quality management system while driving improvements. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with ASME Y14.5 are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of receiving, precision, mechanical, or metrological inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect items using micrometers, calipers, and profilometer.
• Approve or reject items and document results.
• Review certifications and conformance to design using eCerts or copies.
• Communicate with internal customers and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform surface plate inspection of machined aerospace parts.
• Support quality management system documentation; lead continual improvement initiatives.
• Inspect flight hardware at supplier per drawings and SpaceX specs.
• Use MRP system to route parts to departments.
