Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Dimensional Inspector – Supply Chain to ensure parts meet specifications through precise measurements and robust inspection processes. You will support inspectors, develop supplier inspection plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold SpaceX quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of inspection experience, with travel to suppliers in California.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency
2+ years of receiving, precision, or metrological inspection experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5
Experience leading a project and/or team a plus
Experience as an avionics inspector for electro-mechanical components a plus

Responsibilities

Select and utilize standard gauges to ensure quality
Inspect feature tolerances by selecting the tool with required accuracy
Perform complex inspections on purchased mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials
Resolve nonconformance and document issues, support QMS policies and procedures
Support development of inspection plans at suppliers
Support supplier corrective action processes and verify actions
Provide support to internal and external stakeholders on SpaceX requirements and inspection processes
Collaborate with teams, lead projects, and drive process improvements at SpaceX and suppliers
