Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Quality Inspector (Supply Chain) to execute inspections, document nonconformances, and resolve issues on Starship products. You will inspect hardware to engineering drawings, verify certifications, and interface with suppliers to close discrepancies.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ years in precision/metrological inspection. Familiarity with ASME Y14.5, GD&T, and metrology tools is preferred. Must work Wed–Sun shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of receiving, precision, mechanical, or metrological inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and profilometer.
• Approve or reject items and document inspection results as required.
• Perform documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to design requirements through eCerts or physical copies.
• Communicate with internal customers and suppliers to resolve inspection discrepancies.
• Complete surface plate work/inspection of machined aerospace parts.
• Support quality management system policies and procedure documentation, assess compliance with company and industry standards, initiate and lead continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Inspect flight hardware at the supplier according to engineering drawings, purchase order(s), industry standards, and SpaceX specifications.
• Use electronic MRP system to route parts and components to proper departments.
