Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Norwalk, CA, is seeking a Quality Inspection Tech III to identify statistical methods to improve manufacturing quality and provide data for establishing quality standards. This onsite role requires 2+ years of inspection experience, GD&T knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills.

You will work with CMMs, inspect receiving, in-process, and finished parts, and prepare conformance certificates.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of quality inspection experience.
• Experience with receiving, in-process, and finished part inspection using measuring equipment.
• GD&T knowledge and calibration of precision measuring equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use inspection methods and equipment including CMM operation when required.
• Inspect components and verify SPC data for final acceptance.
• Prepare certificates of conformance and documentation for discrepant disks or records.
• Interface with other teams to address quality issues and ensure proper documentation.
• Read and comply with policies, safety rules, and procedures.
• Maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
