Job summary

Triumph Group’s TRIUMPHdesigns division seeks a Quality Inspector responsible for final inspection of aerospace jet engine components, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and safety policies.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in quality inspection within manufacturing; strong knowledge of geometric tolerancing, measuring tools, and documentation such as AS9102 and IMS. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• High School or Technical School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years in quality inspection/machining in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gauges, micrometers, borescopes, and other measuring tools.
• Problem identification and resolution skills.
• Experience with AS9100 quality management systems and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports preferred.
• Ability to apply geometry and trigonometry to solve problems and calibrate equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong customer focus.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Background in manufacturing and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety policies and ensure aerospace jet engine components meet Triumph Group and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret aerospace blueprints and geometrical tolerancing.
• Use inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauges, borescopes; understand measurement processes.
• Maintain quality documentation (Mats Certifications, AS9102, IMS, First Piece Inspection).
• Troubleshoot equipment and suggest replacements to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Train other inspectors or operators as required in inspection methods.
• Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Foster positive relationships with internal and external customers.
