Job summary

TRIUMPHdesigns in Macomb, MI is seeking a Quality Supervisor (Inspection) to lead the site quality inspectors (20+ staff) in a fast-paced environment. You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, and ensure adherence to the TGSM Quality System while partnering across functions.

The role reports to the Site Quality Manager and requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and an ability to drive continuous improvement. A STEM degree and 6+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of GDT and ability to develop and institute inspection requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Genuine self- guided work ethic and natural attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day inspection staff and training for Final Inspection, Gage Control, Receiving Inspection, First Piece Inspection, Metallurgical Lab Tech, GMM, and CMM Inspection Teams.
• Set objective measurable expectations and coach staff to achieve performance levels.
• Attend daily Tier 3 meeting and provide updates on assigned tasks.
• Escalate customer issues to Site Quality Manager and Executive Management as required.
• Support material review board dispositions in support of customer concessions.
• Drive continuous improvement through measurement systems to improve efficiency and capacity.
• Develop inspection plans for new programs and ensure adherence to customer specs.
• Manage Calibration and Metrology teams to verify and validate instruments.
• Update In Process procedures to improve shop throughput and feedback loops.
• Ensure inspections stamps and personnel qualifications are maintained.
