Qualifications

• At least 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense or precision manufacturing preferred).
• Hands-on experience performing FAIs and final inspections on fabricated or machined components.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Strong documentation habits and traceability practices.
• Familiarity with ERP or quality management systems.
• Knowledge of AS9100/AS9102 is a plus.
• Experience with CMM or Faro arm equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and document detailed FAI reports.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify specifications and customer requirements.
• Verify dimensions using precision measuring tools and read GD&T callouts.
• Record results and maintain traceable quality records.
• Identify nonconforming material and assist with NCRs.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and shop leads to resolve quality issues.
• Support calibration tracking and equipment maintenance.
• Assist with internal and customer audits by providing documentation.
