Job summary

HEICO in Georgia is seeking a Quality Inspector to use precision measuring devices to verify articles meet engineering and quality requirements. You will inspect against certifications, drawings, and FAA/EASA regulations, perform FAIs and full certification reviews, and ensure proper marking, labeling and packaging.

Candidates should read engineering drawings and procedures, interpret GD&T per ANSI/ASME Y14.5, and work with MS Excel/Access/Word.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with five years related experience or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in quality or related field preferred
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector within two years of hire
• Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Six Sigma training preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect articles for certifications and compliance to drawings, policies and FAA/EASA regulations.
• Perform first article inspections (FAIs) and full certification reviews.
• Visually inspect articles for marking, labeling and packaging.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, aerospace specs and government regulations.
• Interpret GD&T per ANSI/ASME Y14.5.
• Other duties as necessary.
